About CURE Children’s Hospital of Niger

Established in 2010, CURE Niger is the seventh out of eight hospitals in the CURE International Children’s Hospital network. It is the only hospital in the country of over 24 million that offers specialty surgical care for children with treatable physical disabilities. Its location was chosen because it is central to one of the most underdeveloped regions in the world. Strategically located in Niamey, CURE Niger is a children’s hospital offering 58 beds, two operating rooms, and a full range of high-demand ancillary and rehabilitation services. The hospital provides over 1,400 life-changing reconstructive and orthopedic surgeries each year. In addition to world-class clinical service, CURE Niger ministers to the emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their communities.

Our Mission

“To heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God.”

Miracles happen every day at CURE Niger

How Oumayra overcame bowed legs

As Oumayra’s bowed legs grew more painful, her parents grew more desperate to find help. They were referred to CURE Niger, the only hospital in Niger able to provide the care Oumayra needed. After successful surgery and physical therapy, Oumayra says, “I’ve changed, haven’t I? My legs are straight!”
